Princesses

Disney got it right with his princesses.  However, he also screwed over the men of the world.
All girls want to be a princess.  When we're 5, and when we're 95.  We all want to find our "Prince Charming,"  the perfect man.  I hate to break it to you ladies, he doesn't exist.  I don't want to sound like a bitter man-hating feminist, cause that's not where I'm going with this.  Let's think about our mindset about being a princess.
Do we consider being a princess as being given everything we could ever ask for, being waited on hand and foot, dressing pretty, living in big castle like houses? Or do we think of a princess as being a person whose thoughts and ideas are respected and taken seriously, as someone who can make a significant difference in the world.
More than likely, we think of the fancy dresses, and crowns, and butlers.  This is where we go wrong, this is what screws up finding your "Prince Charming" so to speak.  The mentality that we come first, that we deserve perfection, and we deserve to be treated like we are perfection, that's what screws up many relationships.  No, I don't feel we deserve to be treated badly.  I feel that both parties in any relationship should be treated like a human being.  As someone who will make mistakes, who has real emotions, and can be hurt and broken.  Someone who will get mad, and stand up for what they believe in.  Same goes for how a girl treats a guy.  The human race is not perfect, if you expect perfection, you are going to be highly disappointed.  Every guy will make mistakes, they will at points make you mad, make you cry, make you laugh, smile, love, hate, etc. I could keep going, but you get the idea. I'd prefer someone who will respect my ideas and opinions. Someone who will understand and forgive when I make a mistake.  I am not and will NEVER be perfect.  If I can't be perfect, how on earth could I ever expect anyone else to be?
Perfection only exists in God.  You cannot find it anywhere else.
